Sea & Linen Seascape "Old Salt" by Rachel Champa

Welcome! My name is Rachel Champa and I am an artist, wife, and mother of three boys, residing in New England.

Art was always my “favorite” class as a student. Eventually, I became a high school English teacher, and it was watching my students create - with words, art, music, and technology, that was my “favorite” part. After a decade, I left teaching to pursue the greatest job (and gift) of all - being a stay-at-home mother to my three boys.

Art never left me entirely, but my desire to paint and reconnect with my creativity has only grown since entering motherhood. During naps and after the bedtime routine is when I get to create artwork that brings me joy and fills my cup.

As for the name Sea & Linen - I am drawn to the sea - its colors, in all seasons, in all light, and in all weather. There is nothing more captivating and inspiring than the ocean and its soothing color palette. And linen… You’ll find me wearing it and using it all over my home, as it is a beautifully natural, sustainable, and breathable fabric. All of my original paintings are done on linen, as well as cotton canvas and paper.

I hope my artwork and all things Sea & Linen bring you joy as well.

So glad you’re here!
